SYNOPSIS

Most adults read books with words to their young children. But what do you do when you encounter a book without words?

Wordless books can be a treasure trove of beautiful illustrations, meaningful messages and a wonderful way to build language skills. There are limitless storytelling possibilities.

In this workshop, participants can learn skills and techniques to engage children in a creative story-building process that goes beyond words.

This workshop is suitable for adults aged 16 and above who work and play with children aged 4 – 8 years old.

Some of the books which will be used in the workshop include Tuesday by David Wiesner; Chalk by Bill Thomson; Bluebird by Bob Staake.
